{{Quick Skincare Review}}: Laneige Water Sleeping Pack EX

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack EX -S$45 at Laneige counters, Singapore

Hello everyone~

Here's a quick review of Laneige's water sleeping pack EX. I own this for over a year now and frankly, it's been a rollercoaster ride with it. Initially, I wanted to dump it away but now it has become a well-loved sleeping mask of mine, alongside Naruko's sleeping jellies.

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack comes in a hefty 80ml plastic bottle that looks quite classy indeed. The product itself is a translucent sky blue gel that is scented with a blend of essential oils. I personally don't like the smell of it but it's not unpleasant either. When applied to the skin, there is a tingly cooling sensation that is not due to alcohol, since this product is alcohol-free(yay!). I like to spread it across my palms and apply it to my face, massaging it in along the way so that I won't end up with WSP smeared all over my pillows!
The classy bottle cover

I bought this before I knew about the weird skincare ingredients out there. Laneige WSP seems to have quite a bit of silicone and I initially faced breakouts from it. That's when I wanted to throw it away. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, throw away this $45 tub of "holy grail" (at least, that's what many have claimed).
The sky blue sleeping mask and its gel-like texture

Half a year later, I decided to use this again with apprehension. This time round I was suffering from dry cheeks as I work under an environment with air-conditioning . I slathered half the directed amount on and man, this does wonders. Now, I observed the so-called 'glowing skin' that many have felt the day after using it. Once applied, this WSP gives a dewy look to the face which looks kinda cool but not something I'd wanna walk out on the streets with.

So, I have another bottle of WSP unopened and I'm lovin' it! :D
If anyone's heading to Korea, you should get/beg/threaten them to buy it for you since it is way cheaper there. I bought a duo for S$60!
Recommended best for drier skin types. Oily skin people should use this sparingly and less frequently since I experienced breakouts after using it when my skin was oily.

That's all for now.
Have you tried Laneige's WSP? What's your experience with it? I'd love to know~

Peace Out, people
Thanks for reading~

    1. Hey sweetie
I think it depends on your skin type. I avoided this product when I had acne problems because I felt icky using it. As for enlarged pores I don't think it minimises them but because this gives your face a radiant glow it may have the effect of drawing attention away from any enlarged pores.
I suggest you pop by a Laneige store and get a sample of it and see if you like it! :)
